Tokyo, Japan — Warehouse TERRADA will host the art fair “Tennoz Contemporary” alongside TERRADA ART STUDIO TENNOZ OPEN STUDIO 2026 during the district-wide art event TENNOZ ART WEEK 2026 in Tennoz, Tokyo, from Thursday, Sept. 10 to Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026. At TERRADA ART COMPLEX, home to many of Japan’s leading contemporary art galleries, 38 galleries will participate — featuring collaborative exhibitions between resident galleries and partner galleries from Japan and overseas, as well as concurrent exhibitions hosted by resident galleries. At TERRADA ART STUDIO Tennoz, located inside TERRADA ART COMPLEX I, studio artists will open their spaces to the public exclusively for this occasion to exhibit and sell their works. As visitors explore these gallery venues and active creative workspaces, they can discover artworks that resonate with their sensibilities and find inspiration to bring art into their daily lives.
Tennoz Contemporary: An Art Fair Bringing Together Galleries from Japan and Overseas in Tennoz
This year, 38 galleries and art spaces will participate across TERRADA ART COMPLEX. At TERRADA ART COMPLEX I, resident galleries will host collaborative exhibitions with partner galleries from Japan and abroad. At TERRADA ART COMPLEX II, resident galleries will present concurrent exhibitions during the fair. The exhibition footprint will also expand into viewing spaces and common areas, transforming both buildings into dynamic venues for the art fair.
Open Studio: Discovering the Stories Behind the Artworks
TERRADA ART STUDIO TENNOZ OPEN STUDIO 2026 will take place at TERRADA ART STUDIO Tennoz, located inside TERRADA ART COMPLEX I. Eight studio artists will open their usually private creative spaces to the public exclusively for this occasion. Through direct interaction with the artists and engaging with works in progress, visitors can gain insight into the stories behind the art while having the opportunity to purchase select exhibited works.
Connecting Yokohama and Tennoz in Collaboration with Tokyo Gendai
TENNOZ ART WEEK 2026 is a district-wide art event held in collaboration with the international art fair Tokyo Gendai. This year’s program features, in addition to the art fair and open studios, an exhibition co-curated with contemporary artist Noboru Tsubaki, as well as workshops utilizing traditional Eastern art materials. During the event, a complimentary shuttle bus service will operate between Tokyo Gendai’s venue at PACIFICO Yokohama and Tennoz, allowing visitors to seamlessly explore both art destinations.
Through TENNOZ ART WEEK 2026, Warehouse TERRADA connects the galleries, museum, art cafe, and art materials lab concentrated in the Tennoz area, offering multifaceted ways to experience contemporary art. Furthermore, by collaborating with an international art fair, Warehouse TERRADA aims to broaden touchpoints with the global art scene, foster the growth of Japan’s art market, and elevate the country’s cultural presence.

Related Program: Art Cruise Along the Tennoz Canals
To coincide with TENNOZ ART WEEK 2026, Shinagawa Cruise, a boat tour traversing Shinagawa’s waterways, will operate a special art cruise along the canals surrounding Tennoz. Guests can appreciate large-scale murals on buildings from the water, enjoying the cityscape and public art of Tennoz from a fresh perspective.

Established in 1950 and located in Tennoz, Tokyo, Warehouse TERRADA has developed dedicated storage services for highly specialized items such as artworks, wine, media and confidential documents.
